Trevor Noah is a popular comedian in the USA. In his autobiography, he writes about his childhood and his early adulthood. Growing up in South Africa, Noah went through many difficulties. He was a mixed child during apartheid, which means he had a white father and a black mother during times when black and white were greatly separated. His mother, especially, was a strong, strong woman who was brave and taught Trevor how to be a smart man. He had many disappointments with girls during his life. At the end, Noah reveals that his drunken stepfather, Abel, shot his mother through the back of his head with his gun. I really like this book that describes what it was to be like as a mixed child in South Africa during apartheid.
