When Michael finds out that his friend, Fritz, has the blueprints for the jet plane, he is thrilled and tells SImon. Fritz, unlike Michael, is completely loyal to Hitler. When Fritz finds out Michael is not loyal, he tries to kill him but fails. But Simon the pilot, Michael’s best friend who gives him the best advice, dies in an attempt to escape to England. Michael is heartbroken, thinking he caused his death. But Michael soon copes with Simon’s death and moves to America, ready for a new life.
