In this sequel to Frazzled, Booki Vivat continues writing about Abbie Wu’s adventures. So far, everything is going really good, and Abbie is trying to run for class president. Her middle school finally has enough lockers for sixth graders to have one!
Abbie is assigned the perfect place for a locker. She is so happy-but not when she finds that someone else has taken her locker! Turns out the girl, named Jessica (or Jess), is very, very optimistic. She explains that the principal couldn’t find her a locker, so THEY HAD TO SHARE ONE! Abbie feels so different from Jess. She is sort of (actually, very) pessimistic. Abbie knows that the two will never really become good friends. In science class, Abbie and Jess are assigned to make an invention together, and that’s when Abbie finds that they do have something in common after all. Both have ANNOYING cats. After a lot of thinking, they come up with an awesome idea to make a cat feeding machine with the inspiration from their pet cats. At the show, everything was going well until……the machine only spat out ONE dribble of cat food. Everything was ruined. But still, Abbie and Jess got an A minus on the fair! The science teacher says that he likes that they put effort into it. Abbie and Jess slowly become best friends after that. I like this story. Abbie learns to become more optimistic.
