Clea is a girl who cannot focus on anything except chess. She knows she should concentrate, but she keeps getting distracted. Soon, it is becoming a problem, not only for work, but also for playing chess, her favorite thing to do, and just hanging out with her best friend, Red. Other children are noticing. So, her parents get her checked and she realizes she has ADHD, which means she cannot focus. Clea know that things are going to change. She starts taking medicine, trying tricks that her tutor, Mrs. Curtis, has taught her, and asking boldly to her teachers for some quietness during tests and chess tournaments. Gradually, her troubles with ADHD fade away, but she has other troubles with her best friend. Red had some family troubles but he doesn’t want anybody to know except for his friends, Clea and Dylan. But because Clea has ADHD, she can’t control it but blurts the secret out. This makes Red embarrassed and doesn’t want to be friends with Clea again. Clea is sorry and very sad. But she learns to overcome these troubles and even becomes a girlfriend of Dylan. I like how Clea goes over her troubles with confidence.
